Opalescence Boost

Opalescence Boost is a chemically activated power whitening gel that provides brighter, whiter teeth after just 40 minutes in the dental chair. The powerful 40% hydrogen peroxide gel is chemically activated, so it doesn’t require a hot, uncomfortable light to work.

Opalescence Boost consists of two syringes: The first contains 38 percent hydrogen peroxide, the active tooth whitening ingredient. The second syringe contains fluoride and potassium nitrate (PF), which helps strengthen tooth enamel, reduce sensitivity and protect against cavities. When mixed, the gel produces a distinct red color to help ensure correct placement and full removal of the product.

Safe and effective, Opalescence Boost usually takes only one dental visit to complete. While one visit is all you need to achieve a brighter smile, difficult stains or extreme discoloration may require additional treatments.

Take Home Trays

One option to whitening your teeth is a bleaching procedure that uses custom take-home whitening trays to put the healthy look back into your smile without the expense of costly, generic cosmetic treatment. Many over-the-counter products are available for whitening teeth without dentist supervision. However, for the most effective and safest whitening treatment, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry recommends using custom-fitted mouth trays made by your dentist.

Zoom is a bleaching process widely used to lighten discoloration of enamel and dentin. Tooth discoloration may result from drinking coffee, tea, cola and red wine, or from smoking. The aging process also can stain and darken your teeth. The Zoom in-office tooth whitening procedure uses the Zoom Advanced Power Chairside Lamp – to accelerate the bleaching process – to activate the 25 percent hydrogen peroxide whitening gel. As the hydrogen peroxide is broken down, oxygen enters the enamel and dentin to bleach the stained substances, leaving the structure of the tooth unchanged.
